SILENT CORONARY HEART DISEASE

SILENT CORONARY HEART DISEASE

A very common symptom of coronary heart disease is chest pain or discomfort that occurs as a result of inadequate oxygen- rich blood. This is known as angina. It can occur to a man and woman. Woman might notice this pain while doing her house chores, she might have back pain, indigestion, heartburn, nausea etc. while men can notice this while doing physical activity like exercise but it goes away with good rest. It also occurs when the brain is stressed.

However most women with coronary heart disease show no symptoms or signs and this is called silent coronary heart disease. This might not be discovered if there are no regular medical checkups. In most cases, it is when it aggravates to signs and symptoms of heart attack, heart failure or irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) that it gets to be noticed. You can always avoid this.

Kindly request for a comprehensive or a selected medical checkup from your doctor. You can also fill the medical checkup form on this site.
