Consumption of flavonoids have been proven to be a very good health values. Flavonoids are bioactive compounds found in some foods.A research previously linked high intake of specific flavonoids to reduce mortality from a specific vascular disease and cancers in elderly women. Another study also proves that a high intake of flavonoids and particular classes of flavonoids was associated to lower risk of bone fracture-related hospitalization in elderly women.

Another study viewed flavonoids and credits high intake of it to be related to lower risk of various chronic diseases. The researcher observed that high intake of flavonoids at midlife helps to maintain good health and well-being at aging. So many researchers have studied the intakes of flavonoid; one  in about 34,489 women and found out that a dietary intakes of flavanones ,anthocyanidins and certain foods rich in flavonoids were associated with reduced risk of death; another concludes that flavonoids intakes was not strongly associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease in women.

Most of these researches focus on the effect of flavonoids on women and it is very obvious that it is an important compounds for women. However a more recent study focused on the effect of flavonoids on men in relationship with erectile dysfunction. The author of the study ventured into it because no studies have examined the associations between flavonoids and erectile functions. They used 25,096 as study data by using their food questionnaires which was re analyzed every four years (2000, 2004 and 2008)

It was discovered that during the 10 years follow up 35.6% reported the incidence of ED. ‘After multivariate adjustment including classic cardiovascular disease risk factors, several subclasses were associated with reduced ED incidence’ The data ‘suggests that a higher intake of specific flavonoid- rich foods are associated with reduced ED incidence’

I know you want the list of those foods with flavonoids!
