Management of skin rash with essential oils

One of the disease conditions of the skin is Psoriasis which is a prolong skin rash with no known cure except management option by the medical practitioners.
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease whereby the immune system fights the body’s own cells in the skin in the same way fights foreign bodies. The condition is characterized with progressive buildup of skin cells that lead to inflammatory papules on the skin surface. It can be mild, moderate or severe.
Essential oils are natural oils from plants usually gotten by distillation which have been found useful in the management of Psoriasis. They include chamomile, bergamot, lavender, lemon, peppermint and rosemary.

 
Causes
Several factors have been found to trigger skin rash, they are:
Genetics
Excessive exposure to sun
High intake of alcohol
Infection such as HIV
Skin injuries and damages
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
Smoking
Emotional trauma

 

 

Psoriasis and Essential oils
Majority of the standard medical treatments for psoriasis are gotten from plants. Salicylic acid was originally drawn from white willow bark, for example.
Some common effective essential oils in the management of psoriasis include tea tree oil, chamomile and bergamot oil.
Tea tree oil is known to contain antiseptic properties and has been used in managing pains. Many of the essential oils can facilitate the growth of new skin cells. However, no study has been done in human as there is limited scientific evidence for essential oils used against psoriasis at the moment. it is not to say some group of people will not benefit from it.
