I have this pain in my lower abdomen that radiates to my back

Question: I have this pain in my lower abdomen that radiates to my back. Sexual intercourse is also not pleasurable as it comes with much pain. I also have vaginal discharge. I have been with these complaints for a while. I really will like to know what you think about it.

A lower abdominal pain associated with vaginal discharge and pain on sexual intercourse may suggest a pelvic inflammatory disease. It may also present with fever and painful micturition. You will need to do a swab test (high vaginal swab) and sample sent for microscopy, culture and sensitivity. A full blood count and c reactive protein (a marker for inflammatory disease) will be required and a transvaginal scan to view the uterus and adjoining structures. Broad spectrum antibiotics will also be nessesary.
