Question: I have been married for 5yrs but unable to get pregnant. 3yrs ago I had a fibroid surgery because of heavy menses. I have not seen my menses ever since. I have seen several doctors who told me my ovaries are still functioning well. Pls what could be the problem and what can I do?.
Doctors Response:There is the possibility that the inner lining of the womb (endometrium) may have been affected in the course of your surgery. A procedure called hysteroscopy is important to assess this layer and in its absence, a hysterosalpingogram (HSG). In some cases it may be corrected. However, it is usually difficult to treat in severe cases. In such situations you may be advised to consider surrogacy to help you with child bearing.
