I am 25 years old and I don’t menstrate at all at times for 4 months

Question: Doctor please is there anything I can do to help my monthly period. I am 25 years old and I don’t menstrate at all at times for 4 months. My wedding is on the way am so afraid that if this is not resolved I might not conceive.

Doctors Response : A common cause of such delay in menses is a condition known as polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD). Those with PCOD may be obese, have expressive breast milk, male hair distribution pattern, acne and some may have difficulty getting pregnant. Please see a gynaecologist/ fertility expert for thorough evaluation and management.
