Digestive disorder encompasses a wide array of conditions that affect the digestive system.  The disorder varies in severity from minor annoyance to potentially life threatening illness. The digestive system is a delicate and longest part of the human body.

It is responsible for the excretion of waste product from the body and also aids the absorption of essential nutrients in the body. It is any form of misnomer within the digestive system.

Here are some of the common digestive disorders:

Chronic constipation; a disorder that prevents the excretion of waste products from the body. It is a situation where the colon cannot move stool through the rest of the digestive tract. 

Food intolerance; the inability of the digestive system to accommodate certain foods. Its symptoms include heartburn, headache, diarrhea, gas, vanity etc. Celiac disease is also a type of food intolerance.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease: it is a situation when stomach acids go back up into the esophagus causing chest pain. Its symptoms include chest discomfort, dry cough, sour taste in the mouth, sore throat, difficulty in swallowing.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease; this is a condition of swelling in the gastrointestinal tract and that of the colon.

Other diseased conditions that may suggest digestive disorder are bloody stools, sudden and unintentional weight loss as well as severe abdominal cramps, any of these conditions requires urgent medical attention.

REMEDIES OF DIGESTIVE DISORDER

• Consumption of enough fibre

• Drinking water frequently

• Engage in regular exercise

• Use of drugs and medications as may be prescribed by medical experts

• Surgical intervention
